Campbell-Tintah (C-T) Community Education provides classroom instruction for students who are 14 years of age or older and behind-the-wheel instruction for students ages 15 and older.
To be eligible to take the Minnesota learner’s permit test a student must be 15 years old; upon passing the learner’s permit test the student is eligible to take the behind-the-wheel instruction.
State Requirements for Earning Your License * Complete 30 hours of classroom instruction * Pass the state permit test * Complete 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction * Pass the vehicle road test with the State of Minnesota* *Drivers under age 18 are required to submit a driving log showing a minimum of 50 hours of supervised driving experiences, of which at least 15 hours must be at night. Parents/guardians are encouraged to provide as many additional hours with their teens as possible to prepare them to become a safer driver.
Class Location 2021: Classroom sessions are held at C-T Public School, located at 430 Connecticut Avenue, Campbell, MN. Cost for Classroom & Behind-the-Wheel The $250 in district fee includes the cost for both the classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction.
A $125 down-payment option is available. If you choose this option, the balance is due at the C-T office before the student can enroll in behind-the-wheel. The $300 out of district fee includes the cost for both classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction. A $150 down-payment option is available. If you choose this option, the balance is due at the C-T office before the student can enroll in behind-the-wheel. There is a $150 fee for enrolling in only the Behind-the-Wheel instruction.

A state driver’s manual is available in class or online at mndriveinfo.org. Students should bring a pencil or pen and must make their own transportation arrangements for all classes. State of Minnesota Permit Test Students who have successfully completed 30 hours of classroom hours and assignments, and have enrolled in an approved behind-the-wheel program, will be able to take the state permit test.
The nearest test center is the Breckenridge Court House.Behind-The-Wheel After students pass the state permit test, they must complete and return the “Behind-the-Wheel” form that is located on the C-T Public Schools webpage. If the student loses their state issued blue or white card, the cost to replace that card with our office is $10/card. Our Behind-the-Wheel coordinator, Casey Lipp, will then arrange for Behind-the-Wheel instruction with the student. If you need to reschedule Students must notify Casey Lipp or the C-T Office 24 hours before lessons if they need to reschedule The white completion card for Behind-the-Wheel will be given only after full payment is made. Student Transportation There is no transportation available for students. They will need to arrange to meet their instructor in Campbell.
