Dear Parents and Students:
As you know, our physical school building has been shut down because of COVID-19. Because of this shutdown, we have begun the process of a move to a Distance-Learning Model. This change will involve a steep learning curve for us all. I will do my best to be clear in my communications and expectations for students during this time of uncertainty.
During this time, I will be available during normal school hours- from 7:45 am to 3:30 pm- during the weekdays via email, phone, and Microsoft Teams chats. For questions after school hours, please utilize my email or text. I will do my best to get back to you in a timely manner and answer any questions that you may have. Please remember that this Distance Learning Model is new to all of us too, and I am learning along with all of you.
I will be preparing one week’s worth of lessons at a time, beginning March 30, 2020. The lessons for the week will be available each Friday and will be due the following Sunday evening. All assignments and tests are expected to be completed based on the honor system, as we will not be collecting physical assignments. I do expect that your assignment logs with parent signatures be submitted to me via email or text (take a pic on your phone and email or text me) by 11:59 pm Sunday evening.
Since we are not allowed to physically be in the same room, special ed services will look different than usual, just as our other classroom instruction will look differently. This might involve a phone call, video chat, email, or another method of communication with students. I will be connecting with each student daily and checking in with parents to ensure that things are going well.
For all students, I will be expecting you to log your assignments every day on a virtual assignment log via Google Forms. This is linked below, as well as on the Links page of my website.
As always, I will continue to be an intermediary between teachers, students, and parents, so if you have any questions regarding your student’s education or assignments and you are having difficulty connecting with your child’s teacher, please let me know and I will do my best to assist you in all areas.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please contact me via email punta@campbell.k12.mn.us or school phone (218) 630-5311. If we are working remotely, you may contact me via google voice at (218) 531-9094. I have also created Microsoft TEAMS groups for all of my kiddos so that they can access me via chat or video chat as well.
*** Please follow instructions in the link to log into Office to access TEAMS and other resources your teacher will be posting. Instruction to log in to Office
